My latent Peggy Lee obsession has been ignited by a most excellent Christmas gift.

Oh yes, uhm-hmm, the Elvis of mid-20th-century American chanteuses could give 'em the shiverin' fits in her time! One part Ann Margaret-meets-Marilyn, one part 1940's fresh faced Andrews Sister, all wrapped up in a lush, unforgettable, chiffonade of heated, sultry appeal with bop and sass to spare.

Ladies and gents, Miss Peggy Lee was the stuff of legends.

Torch, swing, pop? One of Sinatra's favorites, she could do them all with aplomb. Miss Peggy Lee: It's a beautiful thing, baby.
